WASHINGTON — President Bush said Friday he was troubled by the political storm that forced the reversal of a deal allowing a company in Dubai to take over take over operations of six American ports, saying it sent a bad message to U.S. allies in the Middle East.
Liberty Letters Comment: What message did the current administration send to our state governments and privately owned security firms in the United States when it nationalized the security at our airports?
Try this on for size: This administration trusts a foreign nation, and one that had a hand in 9-11, more than it trusts American states. And so what every American must decide is, is this a sign of this administration's arrogance, incompetence, or for that matter, anti-Americanism? Or all three. And as to the latter, it seems, once again, that the New World Order rates higher than state rights, higher than our soveriegn right to control our own national destiny.
